Black Porcelain Mug Set by Jeon Sang-geun
Black Porcelain Mug Set by Jeon Sang-geun
This is the Black Porcelain (Heukja) series by ceramic artist Jeon Sang-geun, who designs and studies ceramics that are both beautiful and practical.
This piece utilizes the traditional Gwiyal technique—a decorative method used in Buncheong ware—which leaves natural clay brushstrokes as a design element to express a raw, organic texture. The distinctive foot of the mug resembles the Silla Dynasty earthenware often seen in museums, giving it a unique and striking presence. It fulfills its practical role as tableware while bringing a calm, weighty, and elegant decorative touch to your table.
